They also delivered work during this time for Netflix’ feature films The Old Guard and Ben Wheatley’s Rebecca in addition to Netflix episodic series Cursed – for which Milk received a BAFTA Television Craft Award nomination in 2021. The team recently completed production as lead VFX provider, on Sky Original drama, sci-fi series Intergalactic delivering 850 shots during lockdown. Milk was lead VFX provider for the BBC/Amazon’s acclaimed adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s Good Omens – for which they received a 2020 BAFTA Television Craft Award nomination in the special, graphic and visual effects category. Milk co-founder Sara Bennett won an Oscar in 2016 for best visual effects on Alex Garland’s feature Ex-Machina. Since Milk’s launch in 2013, the team has created an impressive range of complex sequences for high-end TV and feature films, winning an Emmy for the BBC/Hartswood’s Sherlock three BAFTA Television Craft awards for the BBC’s Doctor Who (20) and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell (2016) and eight BAFTA Craft Award nominations.
